Onedrive Sync Setup

Onedrive Sync Setup

To help you onboard into Vault, we'll walk through the entire Onedrive file system and syncing those items to your file explorer.

Once you've been granted access to all the necessary folders, we can start this process. If you have yet to be given access, please submit a ticket to helpdesk@allthingsvault.com

  1. You should get an email with the following contents:

  2. There might be multiple emails with different folders shared with you, the process will be the same throughout all of these. So you can go back and iterate through each of them with the same steps.
  3. From here you'll be brought to a page that looks like this:

  4. Under the tab on the right, you'll want to click "sync". This will allow you to access these files within your file explorer.

  5. This will pull up a prompt asking you to confirm to allow this site to open and work with onedrive. It might take a minute to be able to click but once the button is open click on "Open Link"

  6. After this, Onedrive will open for a moment, then in the bottom right corner you'll get a notification that the folder is now syncing.
  7. Please note that these folders are quite large, meaning it can take some time till everything is synced properly. You can keep track of the progress by clicking on the Onedrive icon in the taskbar.

  8. After all the files are done syncing, you will see this icon and the synced folders below it.

  9. You can repeat these steps for all of the sites you've been given access to.
  10. If you have any questions feel free to make a ticket by sending an email to: helpdesk@allthingsvault.com!
